The Unalterable Word

The nature of inspiration requires the acceptance of the Word of God verbatim as it was originally penned in the autographs. The consistent call for Scripture to be left unaltered in principle and in word (as demonstrated in the texts presented below) necessarily demands the rejection of any view that violates this fundamental doctrine.

Bryan Murphy Associate Professor of Old Testament B.A., Temple Baptist College M. Div., The Master’s Seminary Th. M., The Master’s Seminary Th. D., The Master's Seminary After completing a Bachelor's degree in Bible from Temple Baptist College, Dr. Murphy came to TMS. During his M.Div. studies, he served as a pastoral intern under Dr. Stuart Scott at Grace Community Church. He is currently serving as the Pastor/Teacher of Roosevelt Community Church in Lancaster California, a ministry position that he has fulfilled since May 2000. While in ministry there, he completed two additional post graduate degrees from The Master's Seminary including a Doctor of Theology in Old Testament studies under Dr. William Barrick. He has served as an adjunct faculty member at The Master's College in the Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling program, and at The Master's Seminary in the OT department. He has taught both overseas and here in the United States as a preacher, guest lecturer, and conference speaker. Dr. Murphy joined the seminary faculty full time in July of 2011.
