Biblical Inerrancy The Master’s Seminary is firmly committed to the doctrine of biblical inerrancy as taught by the true church throughout its entire history. We affirm the Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy (1978) as a faithful representation of the doctrine accompanied by warnings concerning its neglect. From the preface to the Chicago Statement: “The authority of Scripture is a key issue for the Christian Church in this and every age. Those who profess faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are called to show the reality of their discipleship by humbly and faithfully obeying God’s written Word. To stray from Scripture in faith or conduct is disloyalty to our Master. Recognition of the total truth and trustworthiness of Holy Scripture is essential to a full grasp and adequate confession of its authority.” Today, there is a need to call the church globally to defend the inerrancy and sufficiency of Holy Scripture. It is for this reason that The Inerrancy Summit of 2015 at The Master’s Seminary was first envisioned. May God use the fruit of the Summit and accompanying publications for His glory and the purity of the church. Four fruits of biblical inerrancy for the church, and consequently four major emphases at The Master’s Seminary are Expository Preaching, Personal Holiness, the Local Church, and Global Missions.
