A crucial part of choosing a seminary is taking the time to visit. Visiting the campus, attending chapel and a few classes, meeting some students from your part of the country, and becoming acquainted with the faculty will do more to help you answer this most important question. We will make sure you get to the correct airport, host you for those few days, answer your questions, provide lunch with faculty members and, of course, give you an opportunity to visit with current students to find out what it's like to attend TMS.

We don't have any special visit times; we want you to come when it is best for you. For the fall semester, anytime in September, October, and the first half of November are optimum and will give you the opportunity to sit in classes. In spring, classes are in session from mid-January to early May, except for Shepherds' Conference the first week in March and the week of Easter. Summer visits are possible as well. Our invitation to you is to come when you can, enjoy the sunny California weather, and make new friends as you pray about becoming a part of The Master's Seminary family.

How much time should I take for a visit?

From our experience, we encourage serious prospective students to visit for several days (below is a rough suggested schedule).

  1. Wednesday – Travel to southern California.
  2. Thursday – Meet with the Admissions Director; chapel, classes, lunch.
  3. Friday – Attend one of the various ministry functions or Bible Studies.
  4. Saturday – Day of sightseeing.
  5. Sunday – Morning Worship, lunch with host family, and travel home.
