Our Mission

The Master's Seminary, founded as a non-denominational graduate school in 1986 in association with The Master's College, exists to advance the kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ by equipping men to be pastors and/or trainers of pastors for excellence in service to Christ in strategic fields of Christian ministry. Students are provided a thorough educational program and environment which emphasize unreserved commitment to the worship of God, submission to the authority of the Scriptures, a life of personal holiness, the priority of the local church, and the mission of penetrating the world with the Truth.

Academic Programs

The Master's Seminary offers six programs:

Government Support

The Master's Seminary does not receive direct federal, state, or local government funds for either operating or capital purposes.

Christian Service

Each year students are involved in ministry at over 60 local churches in the Los Angeles area. Many serve as full or part-time staff.

In summer 2000, TMS students led ministry teams to Albania, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Ethiopia, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Kiribati, Mexico, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, Philippines, Russia, Scotland, South Africa, and Ukraine.

Placement

Numerous denominational and non-denominational church groups look to TMS for men to fill their staffing opportunities. 91% of our 2000 graduates were placed within three months of graduation. One out of every six graduates is serving in overseas missions work.

Financial Information

Annual cost for full-time tuition totals $6,535. Tuition costs have increased only 10% in the past eight years, representing a strong commitment to keep ministry preparation affordable.

Facilities

State-of-the-art classrooms are strategically situated on the campus of a dynamic church. In addition, a theological research library--housing more than 110,000 volumes--provides a unique environment in which to train men in godly character, biblical knowledge, and ministry skills.

Location

The seminary is located twenty miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles in the San Fernando Valley. It is situated conveniently on Roscoe Boulevard, between the Hollywood and San Diego freeways.
