SPRINGFIELD, V.A., April 27, 2015—The Master’s Seminary will open its first ever extension campus this fall*, in the Washington D.C. area. A significant opportunity has arisen that will enable the seminary to provide the high level of pastoral training the school has become known for, on-site, and in partnership with several TMS graduates in the region.
The seminary will be hosted by Immanuel Bible Church in Northern Virginia, located in Springfield, just inside the beltway. Classes will be held in varying formats; some will be fully-integrated through HD video and real-time two-way communication with the main Los Angeles campus, enabling students in Washington D.C. to fully participate in learning and discussions. Other classes will be taught in-person, by TMS professors on-site at the extension.
Students will receive the same caliber of education and discipleship that they would in Los Angeles, but for many, this will enable them to remain in the D.C. area and continue with their ministries to local churches. Prospective D.C. area students may apply here.
*Pending WASC accreditation approval.
TMS is committed to the historic evangelical doctrine of biblical inerrancy
Expository preaching is the hallmark ministry of a pastor consumed with the glory of God and the centrality of Scripture. Every academic program at The Master’s Seminary is designed to equip students to faithfully exegete and exposit the biblical text, whether as a preacher behind the pulpit, or a professor behind the lectern.
In the perfection of Holy Scripture, believers are reminded, “And let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more, as you see the day drawing near” (Hebrews 10:24-25).
Our passion is to exalt Christ and His truth through the preaching of the gospel around the world. Our unique partnership with TMS alumni serving under the banner of The Master’s Academy International (TMAI) provides TMS students with numerous opportunities for missionary service, both during their time in seminary and after graduation.
The apostle Peter reminds the church that the Lord has said, “YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY” (1 Peter:14-16). The Master’s Seminary is committed to fostering personal holiness in every area of life, throughout each program of study.
